After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi Park Headquarters for a ranger briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking experience.
Accompanied by experienced park rangers, you'll hike through the lush rainforest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Trekking can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once found, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat—an experience widely regarded as one of the world's greatest wildlife encounters.
After returning from the trek and enjoying lunch, continue your cultural journey with a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village (formerly Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village). Here you'll discover Rwanda's rich heritage through traditional dance performances, local music, storytelling, crafts, and community experiences.
Return to your lodge for dinner and a well deserved evening of relaxation.
